We broadly categorize these services under our three groups called the Program Management Office Support, the Capital Planning Investment Control support and the Business Strategy support.

Program Management Office Support

Constellation will work to understand your program and project needs within your operational environment and business culture, then work with you to design and implement a PMO to deliver the required support functions. As the organization matures, we will be right beside you to continue the advancement of the PMO capabilities and help it grow to support the changing needs. Using our PMO design services can play a major role in ensuring greater alignment between business strategy and project selection and drive continuous improvement in PM practices within the organization.

Capital Planning and Investment Control

CPIC is a structured, integrated approach to managing information technology investments within the federal government. It is an important portfolio management process for informing investment decisions, assessing investment process effectiveness, and refining investment related policies and procedures. In implementing CPIC for our clients, Constellation seeks to ensure that all investments align with the agency’s mission and support business needs while minimizing risks and maximizing returns through the investment’s lifecycle.

Business Strategy

Constellation’s business strategy services begin with an evaluation of the current program mission processes, people and technology organizations have in place to conduct their functional operations. Based upon an examination of organizational mission, goals, and strategies, we then design the future state processes required to deliver needed products and services, meet the goals and achieve the mission. We then create a road-map to implement the changes, including any solutions that will improve effectiveness or efficiency. If desired, we build change management plans and tools and assist the client in implementing the new processes.
